Authorization To Test (ATT)
The Authorization to Test (ATT) is a document sent to you by Pearson/VUE. You must take the ATT, and a valid picture identification, to the test center or you will not be permitted to test.
Acceptable valid identification includes:
- Driver's license with photo and signature.
- State/province identification (ID) card with photo and signature.
- Passport with photo and signature.
- United States military identification with photo and signature.
- National identity card with photo and signature (in English language letters).
Note: A valid ID is one that has not expired.

Before an ATT will be issued by Pearson/VUE, KBN must make you eligible to test.
Requirements for eligibility:
- Registration with Pearson/VUE.
- A completed application and fee to KBN (includes a criminal history report).
- Verification that you completed an approved nursing program.

Avoid Delays in Receiving the ATT |

Register with Pearson/VUE before or at the same time you send your application to KBN.
New graduates will be made eligible to test after we have received a completed application, certified list or transcript from the school and after the applicant has applied with Pearson/VUE.
Be sure the spelling of your name and address are correct when registering with Pearson/VUE.
Provide the following information to Pearson/VUE when registering for NCLEX:
- Social Security Number
- Month and Year of Graduation
- Date of Birth
- Valid Email Address
