You must hold current certification with a KBN-recognized national certifying organization in order to be issued a permanent APRN registration in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
All proof of national certification must include:
- Name of national certifying organization
- Your name
- Certification number
- Certification expiration date
Acceptable forms of certification are:
- Copy of national certification card
- Copy of national certification certificate
Membership cards are not accepted as proof of certification.
APRN's must maintain current national certification. If your national certification lapses for any reason, you may not practice as an APRN.
